Junipero Serra School Scholarships
Junipero Serra School is a Roman Catholic elementary school that supports and educates Catholic youth from the Monterey Peninsula community. Families of all faiths are welcome. Mary Queen of Heaven Ministry Saving Female Victims of Sex Trafficking Knights of Columbus Charities - Christians at Risk Helping support persecuted Christians in Iraq, Syria, and the surrounding region. Coats for Kids Over 200 coats were given to needy children living in South Monterey County. Knights of Columbus 2017 "Christmas Coats for Kids" give away to Farm Workers' Families in Salinas Valley: Catholic Charities - Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Monterey, is a faith-based non-profit social service agency providing aid to individuals and families in the four central coast counties of Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Benito and San Luis Obispo. Their mission is to assist individuals and families of all backgrounds and beliefs providing them with tools, training and resources to help meet basic necessities for life. They serve over 20,000 individuals a year. St. Vincent de Paul Farm Workers Program - Provides food, clothing, and blankets on a monthly basis and school supplies as needed to low income farm worker families living in South Monterey County. Carmelite Monastery of Our Lady and St. Therese, Carmel, California A cloistered, contemplative community of women, totally consecrated to Jesus Christ, who pray for the world and the needs of the Church. Santa Marina Omura Orphanage with Father Reynolds and the Dominican Sisters Carmel Mission Foundation A foundation supporting the ongoing project of restoring and maintaining the Carmel Mission. It was here that Junipero Serra oversaw the mission system which eventually gave way to the religious and social structures that would become the “Golden State.” Paradise, California Victims of the Horrific Fire Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, House of Prayer, Carmel, California. Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur has a long history of serving the poor, starting in Europe over two centuries ago.
